UNIQUE

Hey all

Last Saturday these photographs were taken before I headed for a girls night out. When we were younger a girls night out would have involved clubs, lots of alcohol and bedtime in the early morning but now we opt for a chick flick followed by dinner. We aren’t old…we just prefer to devote our energy to other things in life now.

While baggy clothes and sneakers are generally the make up of my weekend style, it was easy to see that my look is unique within my close friendship circle. For instance they’d never wear hi-tops and a boilersuit let alone have a side shave hairstyle. I on the other hand could never rock a mini body con dress, get away make-up free or have waist length luscious locks to show for.

Occasionally, an old photo of us comes out and we laugh at how daggy we once were even though it seemed so trendy at the time or more recently notice how much we have aged. As we have aged, our looks have matured and so have we. We are all so much more confident and comfortable in our own skin and what we wear. I love that we are all so different and if we were all to exhange wardrobes for a day I’d be certain that our outfits would still reflect our personal sense of style.

Do you notice the style variety within you close friendship circle? I want to hear about it.

As always thanks for reading and I hope you love these photographs that I hold dear to me.  Now lets all enjoy the freaking weekend.

NOT SO PERFECT

Hi and welcome to another Monday!

It’s normally a working day for me however, I had taken some extra time off work to celebrate 4 years of marriage away from home. Although it’s Winter here in Melbourne we’d hoped to brave the cold and make the most of it in Phillip Island.

So after the long weekend, I would have loved to place a tick next to the list of things we had wanted to do…BUT we didn’t quite get there. The little one got really sick spiraling into eventful nights and uneventful days. I’ve now also ended up with a toddler that just wants her water served in a coffee cup.

So after 3 nights, we checked out of the resort and headed out for our second cup of coffee, some decent breakfast and watched the pelicans get fed before heading home.

I wore this outfit for just about the whole weekend and since it was so cold in Phillip Island this beanie became just anothet limb. I do love my short hair but gosh I’d be so much warmer if I had longer hair. On that note, it’s our final month of the Winter. Hella yes!
