MORE SLEEP PLEASE

Hello hello

I kept my outfit extremely casual for work today. Mostly because I decided that this morning it was more important to sleep in a little and less important to get dressed up for work. Most nights I do a bit of prep by selecting my work clothes the night before. However since I returned back from holidays a few weeks ago, I just can seem to get my shit together. From my clothes, to my workouts to my eating habits- It’s all off and not in a good way. “Is this normal?” I ask myself and no it isn’t. Something is wrong with me because I have been feeling extremely tired and unmotivated lately. See I’m normal after all.

Cheers to wrapping up this freaking week because it feels like hell and back to the normal me next week.

TEA TIME

Hello lovely

After some early morning sunbathing on Waikiki beach, I got dressed in a relaxed fringed t-shirt dress and headed to the Ala Moana Beach House restaurant for some afternoon high tea, where we were given the best seat in the house. This white Miami t-shirt dress happened to be the fanciest item I had packed for the holidays and worked a treat since the dress code in Waikiki is extremely relaxed. I paired the t-shirt dress with my everyday (literally everyday) boots and an oversized bag. Not to forget my new Balmain sunglasses scored at my recent Waikele Premium outlet venture.

FUCHSIA

I am normally not one for colours. In fact, my wardrobe could be stripped right back to just black, white, grey and blue.  However, I felt that the working week needed to start off with a colour less dull than the weather of late.

Whilst I had selected a blue blazer the night before to wear over my outfit, I decided to ditch it for my neglected bright fuchsia coloured coat. The colour combination was perfect and I stood out like a highlighter at work.

I can’t help but feel proud when I make the effort to wear something I normally wouldn’t because it’s a step towards meeting my new year’s resolution.

INTO THE BLUE

Hello lovelies,

I decided to stick with the blue theme for work this week. I own so many black clothes so Incorporating a blue theme  has made me realise how much coloured items I do own. This outfit is definitely another take on the preppy look.

DRESS = TOP

Good morning gorgeous people!!

I wanted to blog about one of my favourite mini jersey dresses that I frequently wear as a top. Thats right. Since having a baby, there are just some mini’s that I wouldn’t get caught dead in. However, rather than discount or not wear it, I now pair most of my mini dresses with suitable bottoms.

It’s a fantastic way to maximise your wardrobe items and allow yourself to be more creative with your pairings. Hope this inspires you to have a good look at your clothes and see what you can do the same with.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

BURGUNDY AND LEOPARD

Hello lovelies

First things first. For everyone that has been following my blog. Thank you again! You have all been wonderful and extremely supportive. It feels both great and rewarding when you tell me that you love my blog 🙂 I haven’t properly blogged on here as much as I would have liked to lately and there are a few reasons for that. Including the launch of my new food and fitness blog – www.trendymommalifestyle.tumblr.com, which was inspired by my commitment to look and feel great on the inside. I know I seem to be committed to a lot of things lately but please do check it out if you haven’t already done so.

Now moving on with the fash…..Where on earth has this year gone?! I remember not knowing how I was going to last 365 days without purchasing any new clothing, when I stated my New Years resolution. However, now that I am over 4 months down the track, I feel like I can keep going and going. Completely driven and dedicated to seeing my resolution through, I have given love to my neglected wardrobe items, and as with todays burgundy criss cross back skater dress, become extremely creative with my wardrobe pairings. This dress has been blogged many times, with various other items and I fall more and more love with it every time. Those leopard booties and distressed denim biker jacket worked a treat with the dress. The style is comfortable meets sexy and versatile enough for our 4 seasons in a day kind of weather here in Melbourne.

PREPPED UP

Day 84 – All prepped up!

I first fell in love with the preppy look when I started watching Gossip Girl and saw how perfectly preppy Blair Waldorf looked.

This week I have decided to use Blair Waldorf as my style inspiration and show you my take on looking preppy for work rather than school. It’s also a great excuse to make use of my neglected glasses.

This is the first of a few outfits that I have put together for this week. Hope you love.
