ANNIVERSARY

My loving husband captured these precious moments over our wedding anniversary weekend. Capturing kids on camera isn’t easy so I credit those including my husband for making it look so simple.

For the last 5 years since we’ve been married, celebrating our anniversary has always been during the winter. While it’s nice I suggested we take advantage of this milestone by taking the kids somewhere warmer in the future and make it our summer destination every year.  My husband agreed! Yay.

Cheers to all the lovers out there. Finding love is truly a blessing.

SOMETHING SPECIAL

Hello everyone

I’ve been holding back on a special announcement!! You’ve guessed it. I’m soon to be a momma of 2 and my little girl is going to be a big sister. As you can imagine, my little family and I are extremely excited and looking forward to December when we can finally meet our new addition.

Lots of love, Sovanny x

LOVE IN PARIS

Hello readers

As I write this post, I reminisce about the wonderful time we had in Paris during early March. As a family, we decided to catch the train from London to Paris where we’d appreciate all the city of love has to offer for 2 whole days before heading back to London. When we arrived, we were provided taxi priority as we had a child with us and greeted at our hotel with ‘you’ve brought the sun to Paris with you’. Apparently, they never thought they’d see the sun again.

For the two days, we stayed at the artsy Streets Hotel in Marais. Marais is a lovely spot bustling with great food, lovely people and tasteful boutique shops to appreciate and empty your pockets in.  We also managed to randomly find a lovely spot for lunch, Au Bourguignon Du Marais. Famous for their beef Bourguignon which my fussy husband gave a thumbs up to, I found the place comfortable and extremely family friendly. They also made the best french fries I’d ever tasted so if you ever pop in to Paris on your next trip with the family, I’d definitely recommend this place.

Aside for that, we had such a amazing time wandering around aimlessly for miles, walking by the river and seeing a few famous monuments. Nothing my husband and I have never seen before but this time we had our girl with us to share and appreciate the experiences. Something we have to do again, except the next time, we’d stay there for much longer.

Thanks again for reading and enjoy the images.

Each morning, my husband takes the time to photograph me in outfits for my blog. He’s commitment to be my photographer and supporter throughout this years no shopping ordeal has been incredible. He is no photo-pro but with the pictures he has taken of me, I bet you thought he was.

While the photo taking process hasn’t always been easy with a little girl to look after (makes sure shes changed, fed, you’re dressed etc), I must admit, that since the squirt started walking, taking photographs amoungst everything else has become easier. She absolutely loves stepping out in the garden with us for a squeal, play and pose and we love having her in the photos.

As for my outfit, I don’t have much to say except that the combination of red and leopard print rocks! What do you think?

Much love

JUST A LITTLE FUN

Hello there

This year, I have had so much fun re-discovering all the hidden pieces in my wardrobe and wearing them again. In fact, I haven’t just been wearing them but creating unique outfits and pairings that I wouldn’t have otherwise thought about 9 months ago.

Take this origami inspired dress for example. About a decade ago, I remember heading out to Subiaco, Perth for an early morning shopping spree (as you do) and instantly falling in love with it.

I’m so pleased that I snapped it up because I don’t think the shop even exists anymore. Over the years, I have worn the dress for fun flirty occasions, but when I caught sight of it the other day jammed in my tiny wardrobe, I couldn’t help but pull it out and wear it to work. I’m just lucky enough to get away with it.

Enjoy whats to come this week, take risks, be happy, appreciate what you have and as always thanks so much for reading my post.

FRESH

Hello lovelies and happidy humpidy day

I hope everyone is enjoying the week thus far. Over here in Melbourne it’s gone from sunshine to stormy weather. I keep up with the weather by wearing my Summer clothes during Winter and vice versa. What’s that called? transition fashion? adapting? or simply confused?.

We took these photographs over the weekend just passed. I remember feeling fresh and manicured that day after my trip to the hairdressers. Frequent trips to the hairdressers seems to be the story of my life at the moment and I’m a little sick of it. I will see how long I last but, my aim will be to avoid the hairdressers for as long as I can and grow the shit out of my hair. Sorry to those that love this hairstyle. I will miss it too.

As per most weekends, I am in my natural casual style since I spend most of my time catching up on life. I did however bring my outfit up a notch by throwing in my leopard print booties and a red clutch to break up that black and white.

I know it’s taken a while for me to post these photographs however, that same day I made a commitment to spend less time blogging and more time with my family. My little darling is growing up so fast and I’ve realised that blogging is just eating so much into my precious family time. So as a heads up, you will be hearing less of me, but you can always keep up with my Instagram if you have yet to go there.

Thanks for reading my post. xx

FLORAL OVER FLORAL

Hello hello

I have been very active on the blog of late. For me I find it quite therapeutic to sit down after dinner and write a blog post about what I wore on the day so I hope you enjoy reading them.

You may have seen this very dress on my black and white challenge in March this year. Today I’ve decided to layer it with a floral cardigan and a cute pair of ballet flats. Despite my hairstyle this outfit made me feel very lady like.
