READY IN TWENTY

Hello and Happy Monday everyone.

The dress code is very relaxed at my workplace. In fact, most days like today I’m too corporate and over dressed.

My general motto is look good, feel good. So I do like to put in that little effort that I have very little time for. I’m talking 20 minutes. Yes that’s right. Indeed I do have a toddler that my husband so generously looks after while I get dressed but I’ve always been one to get my face and clothes on quickly. Just as we’ll because otherwise I’d have no time for pictures.

ONE FAUX FUR GILET, FOUR WAYS

Hello everyone

I hope that you have all been well this week. Here in Melbourne it’s fabulous since there’s a slight hint of Spring in the air. Although this now means I’ll soon be packing away those Winter warmers and making more room in my tiny closet (that I share with my husband) for my spring and summer gear. I love this thought but wish I had a massive wardrobe so that I wouldn’t have to pack at all….right?!?!

As featured in this post, I’ve absolutely adored my red faux fur gilet which I’d been so lucky to get a hold of during an asos sale last year. It’s been so good to me and I’ve loved how it’s versatile enough to dress up and down. Before I pack it away for next year I wanted to do another 1 item 4 ways challenge (as seen here, here and here) featuring this gilet. So here it is.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

A LITTLE VINTAGE

Hello gorgeous

I hope that you have had an amazing weekend. For me, it’s certainly nice to have a break from work and more time with my little family.

This beautiful photo set was taken by my husband before I set out for a massive high tea eating fest with my girlfriends at the Conservatory, Crown. It’s absolutely freezing in Melbourne and indeed a coat is needed but I figured that I was going to be indoors anyway so didn’t bother with it.

High tea calls for a lady like outfit and since I don’t get dressed as often as I use to, I wanted to put together an outfit that I had never worn before. The result was a dreamy vintage look.

BACK TO REALITY

Hey there

Monday was my first day back at work after being on holidays for 2 weeks. Can you feel my joy?!

Just because I felt dull didn’t mean my outfit had to match that. Hence the nice pops of bright colours to spark up my day.

The feature of this outfit aside from my pumps are the cute bows on my jumper. It’s one of my more adorable looking pieces.

CUT OUTS

Hello there

Firstly, I absolutely love this laser cut out tunic.  As featured on my blog here and here, I’m a huge fan of wearing it over a dress to give the outfit that extra layer for warmth.

Where did I go wrong today though? Hmm what’s with that bag right? Ahh the disappointment when I saw the photos. My bag looks horrid with my outfit! At least I have my pretty pumps on.

WEEKEND DINING

Weekend dining gives me a good excuse to get dressed. I don’t tend to go over the top but do like to make an effort to look neat.
