Hello lovely people and welcome to the weekend.

Starting on a personal note, this weekend marks 10 years with the love of my life, husband and father of my beloved daughter. We aren’t getting up to anything exciting. It’s just the usual errands and catching up on sleep and family time. Just normal people getting up to normal things.

As usual for the weekend I am all geared up in something comfortable. I have on a light weight parka which is perfect for our unpredictable Melbourne weather. It’s just after midday and we have had both rain and shine!

What I love most about this parka is that it’s oversized and made with flowing fabric. This allows me to drape the parka over as many layers as I need without feeling bulky. Also if it does start to rain again I can just pull the hood over my head.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you enjoy the weekend.

It’s my day off and as I have said before, nothing beats a comfortable pair of jeans and flat shoes.

Thanks for coming by and have a great weekend.

My last day of the working week! If you can’t already tell by the pictures. I am absolutely exhausted. Todays outfit is an attempt to pull off an outfit with some clashing patterns. I am sure I can do better with the items in my wardrobe, however it’s a start.

Crossed over – April 28, 2013

Hello there

Due to an extremely long and lazy weekend, my outfits have been very casual over the last few days. You will however notice a change in my attire as I head back to work from tomorrow.

Today was a new experiment with my tartan shirt. Over the last few months, I have become obsessed about what I can do with all the shirts in my wardrobe. In the process I have since discovered how versatile this piece of clothing is. You can wear it under clothes, over clothes, tucked in, tuck out, buttoned up, unbuttoned, knotted, sleeves rolled up…you get my drift.

I wore my shirt crossed over today, almost like a wrap. As illustrated in the first three snaps, simply tuck the corner ends of of your shirt in the opposite side of your jeans. It’s not ground breaking however if you have yet to wear it this way, its something you can definitely experiment with. I wish I thought of wearing it this way when I was breastfeeding.

Day 51 – the best-friend tunic

This look has been done over and over again using the same tunic and different leggings. I have branded it the best-friend tunic simply because it was a gift from my best friend many years ago.

Tunics provide great butt coverage (great for see-through leggings) and you don’t need to worry about those exposed panty lines either.
