Since the purchase of these amazing unicorn heels I’ve been absolutely dying to wear them out. They aren’t your conventional kind of shoes. Rather they’re a statement piece, designed to add a little quirk to your look.

First off the cuff, I wanted to pair the shoes with a similar colour pallette and create a look that was both glamorous and playful. Set in a dreamy location, a vintage pairing seemed the way to go. Do you think I did these shoes justice?

Thanks loves and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

After a short week in London and detour to Paris, we flew to Barcelona where we’d plant ourselves for two whole weeks. Such a lovely feeling after all that travelling. Waiting for us in Barcelona was a cosy apartment that we booked through AirBnB. This experience was new to us because we’re use to 4+ star hotels with room service and housekeeping. Although now as a family, a fully equipped apartment where we could just be and cook our own meals was more important. Plus it’s far more economical do it this way when there’s a few of you.

I must say, the place we booked looked a little tired (unlike its photographs) but otherwise it was perfect for our first stay in Barcelona. It was cosy, had lovely views of the street from our little balcony, was a short walk to La Ramblas (main strip) and close to public transport. Coffee shops and the famous market were also in close proximity.

Without showing too much of the apartment,  I thought it would be nice to do a style shoot one morning on the balcony before we headed out for the day. My little girl popped on my hat (her choice by the way) and joined in on the fun too. The photographs were a little shady due to the lighting but I absolutely loved how they turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think of our little outfits.

Next post will be things to do in Barcelona as family.

Hey all

Can you believe Christmas is just weeks away? Since my new years resolution to not shop this year ends soon, it is the perfect time to spring clean my wardrobe. That way if I decide to indulge on a little guilt free shopping in the new year, there is room.

Part of my get rid of clothing strategy was for my girlfriend and I to have a stall set up at the Camberwell Markets. This place is the perfect flea market set up. However prepare to sell your items for pennies and work hard…..real hard to make any money. If 5am wake ups aren’t for you then perhaps donating or ebay would be the better option. For weeks leading up to the market day, I had been packing and labelling clothes and shoes with the goal to sell everything. I didn’t.. and while I was trying to get rid of my items, I couldn’t help but eye off my girlfriends clothing. She just had an abundance of clothes that I fancied and wanted.

In the end she gave me a few of her things including this orange and white check dress as gifts since she was sure it would never get worn by her again. As soon as the sun came out, I wasted no time and wore it. I love the colour, comfort and light texture. The dress is a little low cut and short so for a touch of extra modesty, I wore a black lace shirt underneath and added a gilet for some leg coverage.

Unlike mummy, my little fashionista gets a wardrobe update quite frequently. I try to not buy unnecessary things or waste money on expensive clothing and shoes since she has a growth spurt every few months so recently I dropped into Best and Less. This seasons range for girls is surprisingly awesome and I am loving the wide brim hats. Lets face it all… you can never have too many hats right.

Hello beautiful and welcome to the always anticipated weekend.

Several months ago I noticed a Saks on 5th Avenue online sale. I know! Believe me, I did have the idea of unsubcribing to all my favourite shopping sites but never did so as it turns out, temptation hit. I’d added a whole heap of items for my little girl to the basket and then somehow ended up looking at things for myself….as you do! Don’t worry, no new clothes…only a new pair of B by Brian Atwood flats. Just as well my commitment doesn’t extend to shoes and accessories.

I have had these pair in the box for months now and today my feet decided it was time to christen them.

Given it’s the weekend, I am my comfortable self in jeans and an oversized boyfriend t-shirt. For something different, I decided to crop my top by tucking it into the side if my bra and then slipped over my favourite parka for that extra wind shield.

Outfit breakdown (All items are old)
Boyfriend t-shirt by Asos | Jeans by Grab denim | Parka by Asos | Shoes by B by Brian Atwood

Thanks for reading and enjoy the weekend. Xx

Most of the time I am in heels for work. I feel it suits my general work  attire and helps that fact that I am vertically challenged.

I didn’t feel like wearing heels today though and a pair of pumps may have been more suitable for this outfit but these brogues are just as stylish and so very comfortable.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.

Hello lovelies

First things first. For everyone that has been following my blog. Thank you again! You have all been wonderful and extremely supportive. It feels both great and rewarding when you tell me that you love my blog 🙂 I haven’t properly blogged on here as much as I would have liked to lately and there are a few reasons for that. Including the launch of my new food and fitness blog –, which was inspired by my commitment to look and feel great on the inside. I know I seem to be committed to a lot of things lately but please do check it out if you haven’t already done so.

Now moving on with the fash…..Where on earth has this year gone?! I remember not knowing how I was going to last 365 days without purchasing any new clothing, when I stated my New Years resolution. However, now that I am over 4 months down the track, I feel like I can keep going and going. Completely driven and dedicated to seeing my resolution through, I have given love to my neglected wardrobe items, and as with todays burgundy criss cross back skater dress, become extremely creative with my wardrobe pairings. This dress has been blogged many times, with various other items and I fall more and more love with it every time. Those leopard booties and distressed denim biker jacket worked a treat with the dress. The style is comfortable meets sexy and versatile enough for our 4 seasons in a day kind of weather here in Melbourne.

Aside from the usual weekend errands and quality time with the family, we also made time to check out this weeks Sydney Road festival which is always interesting.

I was decked out in casual weekend clothes and my much loved metallic platform brogues. These shoes are so comfortable and never fail to get attention and nice compliments. I tend to always pair the brogues with skinny jeans as I find it works well. That said, if you have the pins for it, they would look great with a short number.
