ELECTRIC

Hey lovers

With mothers day and my birthday on Sunday, this weekend was certainly filled with joy at the Mode Madison headquarters.

I wanted to post the ideal party outfit and came up with this number. One of the many beautiful & sequin numbers from our collection. What do you think?

Many more where this came from at Lost and Found Market. Open every weekend, rain or shine from 10am-6pm.

SHAKE

Mode Madison stocks an endless supply of vintage dresses. Some that have yet to appear online or at Lost and Found Market.

Take this one for example lovers. A beautiful floral number that I felt would be perfect as part of the A|W collection.

The dress is comfortable, girly and a little punk if you will when styled with an edgy pair of platform boots.

I’m making it available from next weekend at Lost and Found Market folks.

QUILT

Last week, you got a preview of this number first via Instagram. Now it’s my pleasure to reveal that it’s the final of the four awesome gowns that will be available from Saturday, at Lost and Found Market.

This piece is like a robe, only much prettier and perfect for those ‘I don’t want to get out of my Pj’s’ days.

So now that you’ve seen all the lovely pieces, which is your favourite?

Thanks for the love everyone.

LOVE STORY

Hey lovers

For a little inspiration, I turned to google for a source of vintage fashion icons. I came across images of the likes of Twiggy, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. Jackie O however was the one who caught my eye. In particular, it was an image of her wearing a headscarf. Immediately, I felt the urge to continue with my research on this stylish icon, and came across a suite of other images of her in a headscarves and oversized sunglasses. Obsessed with this look, I decided to emulate it over the weekend during a brunch outing with the family. It honestly felt so elegant, I will never know why I’d never tried this before. Once more, the scarf provided a nice source of shade and protection for my head.

As we strolled down the street to take these images, I received sweet smiles and head turns from those passing by.  Most likely because it was Sunday morning and you don’t normally see someone walking down the street all dressed up in my hood at that hour. I’d however like to think that I gave them all a pleasant surprise.

Paired with a simple red vintage 80’s dress from the Mode Madison collection, I chose a simple black and white floral scarf as a contrast and finished of the look with large sunglasses, a 60’s purse bag and heels. I will definitely bring on this look a little more often during sunny summer days and add on those extra layers during the cold winter months.

Thanks for dropping in and I hope you love this look too.
