PLAYFUL

Hello there

So during my trip to the Waikele Premium outlet I managed to pick up a new pair of coral heels and long strap handbag.

It didn’t seem fair if I didn’t take my new items out for a spin in my playsuit around town so before our much anticipated Luau tour thats just what I did.

I love these photos.  Credits to my friend Somany for the amazing photography.

THE GOOD LIFE

Hello gorgeous

Since I have committed to not purchasing any new clothing this year, I packed a little heavier than usual for my trip to Hawaii.

That said my luggage was full of comfortable items that I knew I would have to wear over and over again during this trip. So if you notice some clothes overlapping in my next few posts it’s just me being creative with what was in my luggage.

On this very day, my friend and I headed to the Waikele Premium outlet for some bargain shopping. I have to say I found it to be quite underwhelming but managed to score some cute items for my little girl. The Godiva shop there is just devine and I couldn’t help but indulge in a cone full of strawberries dipped in dark chocolate. Certainly a must go to place for all travellers.

Post shopping we grabbed a bite and drink, then spent the late afternoon relaxing on Waikiki beach. If this could be a part of my life everyday I would be completely satisfied.

LIFES A BEACH

Hello sweets

Thanks for coming by.

These pictures were taken on my recent trip to Waikiki Hawaii. As you can see from these photographs I really made the most the time I had to relax. The water there is so gorgeous and blue so going in for a swim and splash is an absolute must. Beach beds and umbrellas are readily available for hire on the beach so you can sunbathe all day long if thats your thing. The hire rates are extremely reasonable and there are hotties there to set it all up for you. All they ask is that you pick a spot.

The patterned bathing suit in these pictures are quite old and purchased during my pre pregnancy days. I never thought I would be wearing them again since I gained over 20 kilos during my pregnancy.  However here I am embracing my post baby body in paradise.

TEA TIME

Hello lovely

After some early morning sunbathing on Waikiki beach, I got dressed in a relaxed fringed t-shirt dress and headed to the Ala Moana Beach House restaurant for some afternoon high tea, where we were given the best seat in the house. This white Miami t-shirt dress happened to be the fanciest item I had packed for the holidays and worked a treat since the dress code in Waikiki is extremely relaxed. I paired the t-shirt dress with my everyday (literally everyday) boots and an oversized bag. Not to forget my new Balmain sunglasses scored at my recent Waikele Premium outlet venture.

BEGINS IN PARADISE

Hello lovelies

Picture this. My girlfriend and I leave Australia for Hawaii at 1.30pm on Friday and arrive in Honolulu at 8.00 am on Friday.

It was exciting that we had gained a whole day but most of all we were all smiles about the warm weather which was such a contrast from what we left back at home. Besides that, the beach was so close to our hotel we could smell it. All we wanted to do was make the most of it but the exhausting flight got the better of us. So after a fortunate early hotel check in, we grabbed a bite to eat then headed straight back to the hotel for a good snooze.

Several hours later we freshened up and decided to head out and do some exploring down the main strip in Waikiki. I was so glad to be wearing Summer gear again. I wore a slip on colourful mini dress under a grey dip back top for a little modesty. As for my boots, it was one of the two pairs of shoes I had packed for my trip and I practically lived in them.

Waikiki is just beautiful. The beach, plants, weather had made me feel like I was truly in paradise and the insane amount of shopping there is to do there is absolutely no myth either. Aside from all the commercial shops there’s also the International Market Place where you can purchase some local souvenirs and gifts. Then there’s the ABC stores on every corner stocking all kinds of nik naks from food to clothing to cosmetics.

That evening I slipped over my mini  dress a sheer short sleeve shirt and blazer, then we headed to the Beach House Restaurant in Ala Moana Surfrider resort for a pre dinner cocktail before going to the well renowned Roys restaurant for dinner. I had the vegan set menu option and was so full afterwards that you could roll me home. As you can imagine we were absolutely spent by the time the day was over and couldn’t wait to hit the sheets so off we went back to the hotel.
